Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife of the presidential nominee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the party in the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.

According to her, an NPP government under the presidency of her husband will ensure that all Ghanaians are brought together for sustainable development across the country. ''

“I believe in my husband that he can do well for the country, and would have the interest of the women at heart when he becomes president. And I believe by God's grace he would win the race. As a woman, I know how we feel on certain issues and I can tell you for certain that my husband cares for women. He has a strong belief in the potential of the women of this country and would be ever ready to help us reach greater heights.”


When asked if she was already savoring the feelings of being a First Lady, Mrs. Akufo-Addo, smiled and said that was far from the truth. My only prayer is that God sees us through this year's elections peacefully and successfully. Until its all over and victory is ours, I do not see my self as such.
She explained amidst smiles that she sees herself as the wife of a flag-bearer and not the wife of a president yet.

“I love my husband and would do everything to support him but until he wins, I am not yet the First Lady''.

She wrote on her Facebook page on Tuesday September 27 2016: “There is a saying that if you want to go fast, you go alone, but if you want to go far, you go together.”

“There's no limit to what we can do when we work together. Vote NPP and let's build Ghana together.”

She added: “Collectively we can achieve so much more. God bless every volunteer and everyone working to help the NPP to make Ghana work again.”

Ladies, relax and lets give morning sickness a cheer because while experiencing nausea and vomiting during pregnancy is certainly unpleasant, it might very well be a sign that things are progressing smoothly.
According to a new study published in , these symptoms – commonly referred to as morning sickness, though it can occur at any time of day – may be associated with a reduced risk of pregnancy loss.

“Nausea and vomiting can take a toll on a woman’s body, especially after the emotional time period of finding out you’re pregnant,”. But findings are really reassuring to women who are experiencing and suffering from these symptoms that their risk for pregnancy loss is greatly reduced. It’s helping to tell them that they have a healthy pregnancy and that this is a good thing.”

After being pregnant for two weeks, nearly 18 percent of women reported nausea without vomiting and about 3 percent reported nausea with vomiting. Those numbers jumped to 57 percent and 27 percent, respectively, by the eighth week of pregnancy.
When the researchers crunched the numbers, they found that nausea or a combination of nausea and vomiting were associated with a 50 percent to 75 percent reduction in the risk of pregnancy loss in women with one or two prior pregnancy losses.

The findings reaffirm previous research with similar results. While the underlying mechanism for the connection is unknown, the researchers ruled out a few theories.

“There have been some hypotheses that women may change their lifestyle habits in response to feeling nauseous, which is sort of an evolutionary instinct that could help prevent risky behaviors that have been linked to an increase risk of pregnancy loss like smoking or alcohol intake.

The benefit of this study is that now we can actually tell newly pregnant women that they’re not feeling miserable for no good reason. It actually demonstrates the pregnancy is progressing,” It’s a really important step forward, just so we can understand more about pregnancy – especially early pregnancy, which is when people are most anxious.”
However, although findings suggest nausea and vomiting have protective benefits, women should not be afraid to speak to their doctor about it if it is negatively impacting their lives.

“Although such a designation may provide reassurance to some women, they should not be discouraged from seeking treatment for a condition that can have a considerable negative effect on their quality of life,” they write.

Additionally and most importantly, women who do not experience nausea and vomiting during pregnancy should not feel alarmed. “Not all pregnancies are the same,” she said. “Everyone’s individual experience is different so just because you don’t have symptoms does not mean that you’re going to go on to have a miscarriage.

Happily married couples look back on how their relationship began.Everyday, my heart rejoices that i gave my all to the one and only true love of my life.
I'm really not the type to give in on something so when I love, it actually for keeps. Life I believe is more than beautiful so why not share with the very one person you feel comfortable with.
The essence of love? Not in so much time, we lose focus on whats important and rather focus on what I term ''trivials'', we focus on what we do not have than to have fun and be excited about what we have. We get so caught up in our thinking and feelings that we even ignore the little things that give meanings and deep sense to our lives. We may not be so beautiful, not so rich, not so talented but God has created each one of us to be loved regardless by that unique person who will find you and sort you out no matter where you may be.
Everyone and how they define love, every book has a different definition of what love is, we all cannot look through one hole or what I call the spectacle of love at the same time..

So love, why my heart is abay?? I keep on asking my self that question all the time. Sometimes you see your peeps getting involve with different kinds of people and you can't help but feel a little jealous or something. Deep down you wish you have what they've got and still you wish them more than well in their quest for happiness. Its so confusing yet so real..!!!

What my friends husband told her on their wedding dinner was ''that welcome my love, now you would have to deal with smelling my breath every day'' This statement got all the guest laughing but in it was the deepest meaning of what we face after marriage. Your partner's breath may not always be so good, it may not always be so fresh but you will have to deal with it. You don't marry for perfection, you marry for love. It will only take love for you to be able to smell someone's breath for the rest of your life.

We hear of marriages going down the drain all the time and the question is, why are they giving up on the breath of their partners? You cannot force someone into servitude so it becomes so alarming when you start to feel that what about your marriage or partner.

Angelina Jolie Files for Divorce From Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are calling it quits and the actress is asking for physical custody of the couple’s six children.  She is asking the judge to give Pitt visitation.  It’s significant …she does not want Brad to have joint physical custody … only joint legal custody.

Sources connected with the couple tell us … Angelina’s decision to file has to do with the way Brad was parenting the children … she was extremely upset with his methods.

Our sources say, Angelina became “fed up” with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and mixed with what she believes is “an anger problem” … felt it became dangerous for the children.

You are a fraud, if you call yourself a Sound Engineer in Ghana, Richie Mensah, popularly known as Richie, has stated.

According to CEO of Lynx Entertainment, the constant use of the title by some producers in Ghana without the requisite qualification is a worrying trend that needs to stop.
He believes, just like the study of Medicine, people need to acquire a certain level of education and qualification in the field before they can be called Sound Engineers.
The award winning producer gave the explanation during an interview on an Accra based radio station.

“There are so many things you can do in music, especially when it comes to the production side. We have beat makers, then we have sound producers, then we have audio engineers now audio engineers. Now audio engineer is even broken into recording engineers, mixing engineers, mastering engineers before we have the audio engineers for the events side,” he explained.

“Now the reason why I say we don’t have sound engineers in Ghana is, sound engineering is not like sound production where it’s an art base on creativity, it’s a science and you can only be called an audio engineer when you have a degree – either a bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree,” Richie added.

“When you call yourself a sound engineer, it’s basically fraud,” the ‘Yaro’ hit singer stressed.

Richie seem not to be the only person in the entertainment industry who throws jabs at others. Sarkodie has also come under constant attack from people in the industry especially Mark Okreku Mantey who constantly criticize the rapper for titles he pose on himself.
Reggie Rockstone, Samini, Shatta Wale etc has all been lashed in one way or the other for self imposed titles..

But the question here is, if there are no sound engineers then what are the Appietus, El, Kaywa, Jay Q, Richie himself who used to reign around 2010-2013 with the popular intro'' its a hit meeeeehn''??
Its true so called sound engineers in Ghana come and fad away just too quickly but probably because of the genre of music they associate themselves with.

Not withstanding, people have invested time and resources into what they do and should be recognized as such.

Mzbel hangs out with President Mahama during campaing

The NDC held a rally in the constituency with Mzbel representing alongside the parliamentary candidate for the area, Obuobia Darko-Opoku and the President.

The singer, whose NDC advocacy in recent times have gone into overdrive, shared some shots from the ceremony featuring her and ‘daddy’ Mahama.

The singer who is not shy and has publicly declared her die hard support for the NDC got the opportunity to hang out with the first man of the land during a campaign launch in her constituency. 

''Daddy'' as she affectionately calls the President daddy, it was more or less time for daddy and daughter fun out day as they both looked happy and seems to be enjoying each pother's company at the event.

According to Mzbel, when you compare Mahama’s reign to the New Patriotic Party’s eight years, it upstages the latter, and that means the NDC absolutely deserve another term.

The First Time Voters Project, an educative initiative which aims to raise meaningful participation of the youth in Ghana’s political processes, kicked off at the All Nations University College in Koforidua yesterday.

The project, is an initiative of Sandra Ankobiah who is a TV Host and has recently co- founded a Media Training Facility in Accra, SN Media Learning Tree. Sandra, who is also a Lawyer, has tasked herself to educate first time voters whilst motivating their involvement and addressing the decline in their political and electoral participation.

Speaking to the gathered students at the auditorium of the All Nations University, Sandra Ankobiah outlined that the project seeks to advocate for meaningful young people’s participation that will put forward the electoral and political reforms necessary for democratization and social inclusion of the youth as a means to address the generation’s continuing apathy and alienation to political processes.!
“The First Time Voters Project envisions an informed critical young electorate who actively participate in Ghana’s political processes geared towards alternative politics and transformative governance”

Sandra said. “We believe that first time voters have their capacity to significantly contribute as well as shape up the future of this country by its greater involvement in the election process,” she added.
Guest Speaker of the event, Albert Arhin, National Coordinator of the Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO), and former Director of Operations at the Electoral Commission explained that such a project was a great initiative which will address the decline in young people’s political and electoral participation. “Previous elections and the current traditional political landscape gives the basis to be proactive in encouraging first time voters to participate and not allow themselves be muted in the electoral exercise that is very crucial in the coming months,” he said.!

“We should encourage the first time voters to take part in the process of developing their generation as active electorates who exercises their rights to suffrage and maximize youthful and critical tools in determining the fate of their country and its future,” he added.!

PARENTING THE AFRICAN WAY OR THE WESTERN WAY. WHICH WAY WOULD YOU RATHER ADOPT?

There is an oft-quoted African saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.” Less cited is the second half of the saying, “…and a community to keep the parents sane.”
In Africa, it takes a whole community to raise children.
 I must be quick to admit that this is fading away in most urban cites in Africa but the statistics however still indicate that most African’s are still very Rural when it comes to parenting.

However, there is still the old tradition or orthodox way of disciplining African children i.e spanking them, insulting them, etc. even though some modern parents would rather shy away from disciplining their children, they themselves would testify that mostly ”sparing the rod” has come with a huge pay tag.


Most educated parents now prefer their kids to go to school with a Driver and body guards driving them even if the school is just a distance away just like parents in Hollywood such as Kim Kardashian;

or even Beyonce…

Kids nowadays watch cartoons, eat from fancy restaurants, wear expensive designer cloths which is not bad as I would probably feel great if my kids were to look that good but the most pressing issue here is, are we loosing our strict
and proper up bringing of our kids to Modernity and Westernization?

Where is our continent heading? Are we not scared of posterity as it will judge us? Are our future generations going to thank us for bringing them properly??

As African parents we can be so many things but we shouldn’t bend the foundation on which we were brought up to become responsible citizens and destroy with our own hands the beautiful souls God has bless us with because, ‘We have them to keep a CHARGE’..

Blogging My Way, My Style, The Way I Know How...

Many times I hear people talk about the do's and donts when it  comes to having an amazing blog that sells.

People talk about what to put in the content, what images are the standard and what's not.
I've gone through a lot of tutorials and books and all what I find makes me even more  confused.  I feel like I need to express myself like someone else before my bolg will sell and its so frustrating.  Do I need to live or write like someone else.? What happened to creativity and originlity.

What happened to be oneself and express oneself the only way they know how.? I cant blog like everyone. I may also not be able out do most of the amazing bloggers there ever is but I feel like to be able to succeed in this industry, I need to be self and feel original yet classy!

What I ask myself is was Rome built on an example.? Well I guess not there for I'm going to Blog My Way, My Style, The Way I know How.

I'm constructing no boundaries, no pillars, no wells nothing at all. I'm going  to just write and feel free with no tape measures or restrictions. Hopefully my style will motivate someone who's out there lost and feels like giving up on their dream of writing the needed spirit to get behind their computers and post their heart out there hopefully, the stars will be our catch.

Kanye's NYC fashion show gets blistering reviews

The consensus on Kanye West's latest fashion show was that it was hot -- but probably not in the way he was anticipating.

The rapper/designer unveiled his Yeezy Season 4 collection outdoors in New York City as part of New York Fashion Week, and it was sweltering.

West staged the show at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island and also streamed it on Tidal. Attendees reportedly waited hours in the sun and humidity Wednesday afternoon for it to begin.

Once the show kicked off there was plenty to see, including nude body suits and models struggling to walk in their heels. Images of women wobbling down the runway were widely mocked on social media.

And the actual fashions once things finally got underway, the show was not that bad.

John Mahama President of the Republic of Ghana describe as partisan the call for his administration to restore the teacher trainee allowance which he strap.

He says he would choose to risk his second term bid on grounds of principles than on petty politicking which he blames his opponents for doing.

“For partisan politics purposes you have your political opponent come and say when we come back we will restore trainee allowances to colleges of education. For me it is better to lose the election on principle than win it on falsehood,” he said.

He made these remarks on Wednesday when he addressed students and faculty heads of the University of Cape Coast in the Central Region as part of his campaign tour ahead of the general election.

Government's decision to scrap teacher trainee allowance and replace it with the student loan has been heavily criticized but the President is unperturbed by the situation and has called their bluff.

Teacher Trainee Association of Ghana (TTAG), the mother association of trainee teachers, vented its spleen on government when its members hit the street on March 24 demonstrating over the decision.

They have threatened to vote for the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who has promised to restore the allowance when voted for.

Agitations have been building up but reacting for the first time on the matter, President Mahama says he would not shift grounds even if the decision cost him the December polls.

He says the decision to scrap the allowance was carefully thought out and is in the larger interest of the students.

“I believe this is equitable, it is a matter of social justice, and it opens more opportunities to young Ghanaians who want to change the profession,” he said.

However, according to their executives, “The trainees are positioning themselves well to do whatever it takes to get their allowance restored,” he said.

They explained the Student Loan Trust Fund which replaced their allowance has been inaccessible to many students due to the stringent conditions adding that the money given under the Fund is peanut and unable to help the teachers meet their academic needs.

WHEN I AM DOWN...

Our brains are wired to find things we’re looking for – if you’re always cynical or waiting for things to go wrong, then your life will reflect that. On the other hand, having a positive outlook on life will bring you joy and provide you with inspiration when you least expect it. Having a positive outlook on life is a crucial part of finding inspiration.

What most of us forget is that we human are not so strong as we may seem and neither are we so weak as we may seem.

God in this own wisdom made us to fulfill his own creative needs.
When i'm down, at least I expect you not to make me more derby downer and truth is i also don't expect huge motivational sermon from you.

In connecting with our inner selves, we normally need to fresh our hearts and thoughts, our motives and aspirations, through it, we may find our self getting up back again.

Life is not meant for you and I to decide on what is good or bad for our fellow human being because everyone has a mind of his/her own, a conscience to deal with at all times and a mirror to show our reflex whenever we look through it.

In our prayers, we ask for grace, we ask for love, we ask for patience and we ask for life, lets not believe that one man has to power to destroy us, for as sinful as we may be, God knows how to defend and protect from predators and he lift our souls back up again whenever the it feels tired, depressed and down.
